“Oh that’s your girlfriend? We call her slopjaw/Cuz she drink from a cock straw” my nigga Antonio was screaming in the hallway up Booker T [Middle School]. I was like “damn who said that?” He said “nigga you never heard that?” I felt dumb. I was an Eminem fan in middle school and really didn’t know any better. But that line alone got me interested in branching out.

Fast forward, I go to City [College High School], I band up with everybody’s favorite Finago Park members (Scoreswayze, Benjamin Banger, Kush, Young Ble$$ed, and the lost member Bricks) and around this time Dedication 1 was my soundtrack. On the bus on the way to school. On the bus on the way home. On the bus on the way to Towson to get some whores. It was perfect for every occasion. 

But what I appreciated most about it was hearing Wayne and the early Young Money have so much fun on those tracks. It was just pure energy and brotherhood, skits and laughing together on tracks - and I realized that’s what I wanted to create. At the time I was rapping for two years and had just bought a mic and interface. I hadn’t dropped a mixtape yet; it was just idea after idea scrapped, but finally an idea was solid. I wanted to lock in with my brothers and create a project that reflected that same energy and I came out with Savage Season Vol. 1. This was the beginning of my rap journey.
